ROSIE'S FARM

Hello!!
Its me Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Other wise known as "ROSIE" thanks for dropping in! have a look at
our new Farm which we moved onto in May 08 we had a lot of Hard Work to do.

|
We had a move this year to a new Holding which was very run down, it needed leveling to the ground to be honest! but we spent a lot of time this year trying to make it look some thing .
This was the old Stable which was Falling over Dad would not let me in to it until he had rebuilt it.
Dad and Mick Heppy had to pull the shed upright or as near as they could with a Rope and Land rover.
"Well i soon got to work " with the help of Dave who lent me his Earth Mover!!
And after some Practice moving a few Fences and Walls i got down too it!!
I had a great time moving things about ,Dad said i am a Natural at it and could perhaps use these skills on my bedroom!!
Dad thinks that i have got a little carried away !! but one has to learn by ones mistakes! and next year we can grow loads of Potatoes here!!!!
We had to make an entrance into the Field as it was just a Mud track which we could not use in the winter .
We made a decent sized pull -in to the Field which took many Months and many Tons of Hardcore and Crushed concrete.
Many Thanks to Eric for his help, with Hardcore and his Truck bringing the Crushed Concrete for us. Dave Peerless, Ian and Steve and my Son-in-Law Chris for the Road stone.
Well just lookie here we have straightened it out planted a few Trees and hey presto!! It is October now and the Nights are drawing in the Leaves are turning Gold and Brown, its a Quite time when Mother Nature starts to rest.
It is still a bit iggly pigily but we can have a cup of Tea and Biscuits now.
We have a bit of finishing off to do but it's Safe now.
Well time to Chill a bit, its been Hard Work this Summer-WWWWW-WWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! This is my Zip line ,Dad burnt his clutch out pulling it Tight!!
I had my 7th birthday party here in September 08 and it was great Fun!!
Meg ,jack and Molly with Sonya looking on.
This is a Sock Lamb we have tried to raise this Summer 08,but Dad said she had a bad start and does not think she got her colostrums! We think she might have "pulpy kidney "we have done what we can ! don't know if she will survive or not!! Most of our Ewes came to us like this pretty poor! some Die but some live and become really good Mothers.
I have been riding a lot more this year, this is Susie with Corena at my Party she is 11 hands a gentle Mare quite old ,but a nice Pony.

Well we have a new pony called Shorty she is a Welsh Mountain 2yr old she was pushed aside by her Mother who was in Foal again. We were told that the Foals can be brought for as little as Seven pounds over in Wales so a lot must end up being eaten . |
|
we are making friends with her we have a lot of work to do to get her as Friendly as Eeore he took a few years to ride but we never pushed him. |
|
Shorty is a bit bossy over Eeore cor's she is Bigger then him! We are getting shorty used to all the Noise from us and the other animals and slowly she is less jumpy and will let us stroke her Head a bit now! After a week of solid rain which turned every where to Mud we had a dry day and our Friend Susy popped in and helped dad get her on a lunging rope, she pranced all around the field jumping off the ground on all four feet which Dad thought was spectacular! but he did not get any photo's of her doing it, Sad! |
